Download Educational games for Kids for PC free, The developer Zodinplex designed the free app Educational games for Kids in such a way that the kids must get interest in it and they can learn many things. Over the years such games have gotten a bad reputation as distracting kids from more important things such as school. Studies, however, have shown that video and computer games can help kids learn and develop essential skills that will help with academic achievement.

These are awesome resource ideas.:) My daughter has been playing with Starfall for quite a while now and simply soaks it up. She's reading pretty independently already, and she's only in kindergarten. And PBS and Nick Jr., as Dianna@Kennedy Adventures said, are good bases here, too.
I am definitely going to check out the others because I'm a first-time homeschooling parent, and my hubby and I are slowly gathering which topics are best learned in what formats for our two children. We have a kindergartner and a preschooler, so when one thing works well for one, it's not always so for the other.:) Thanks for these site leads (Mama Eagle, thanks to you, too).
I'm sure my daughter will want to tag along when I check them out. It doesn't look like anyone mentioned prodigy.com is a math video game. You basically are in a role playing game and run into 'the bad guys or troll' and before you can battle them you have to answer math questions. There is a free and a paid version. It has progress reports and you can set it to ask questions about specific math concepts. We have only played it once(no internet at home), but my son wanted to keep playing and seem to really enjoy it.
It kind of reminds me of Zaleda, if you even remember that Nintendo game. Thanks for sharing very helpful! Welcome to the Unlikely Homeschool! I'm so glad you've joined me on the journey. Like all of life's greatest adventures, homeschooling, for us, has been filled with many unexpected surprises.both triumphs and occasional tragedies. The path will probably never be straight, but with our eyes firmly fixed on our Guide and the calling that He has placed in our lives to 'teach them when we sit at home, when we walk by the way, when we lie down, and when we rise up,' the journey is sure to be memorable.
